The format of an e-mail address is quite simple. If you're having difficulty subscribing to one of this lists, then it's likely that they syntax that you're using is not the syntax we're expecting.

The generic format that we're looking for is name@yourdomain.com, where

Note that there's always an @ right after name and a . just before the final 2 or 3 letters. Also, yourdomain.com can be word.yourdomain.com, like ix.netcom.com.

These aren't the only valid e-mail addresses, but they are far and away the most common. If you need to subscribe an e-mail address that has a different format (these will usually contain a % or ! ), then you can email the owner of the list at listname-owner@biglist.com, where listname is the actual name of the list. If all else fails, you can email majordomo-owner@biglist.com.
