Subject: adding property sets in style sheet From: Lloyd Rutledge <Lloyd.Rutledge@xxxxxx> Date: Thu, 08 Jan 1998 18:11:22 +0100 |
New property sets can be defined for use in DSSSL style sheets, as specified by the DSSSL IS and the HyTime 2nd edition, and as done by HyTime for some of its properties. Such property set definitions specify things like property names, grouping of properties, and sometimes an enumerated list of possible property values, and so on. This allows one to use the DSSSL node-property function more or less as follows: (node-property '{new-property} ({node})) A DSSSL engine needs to know how to determine what (node-property) returns when such new properties, as defined by additional property sets, are used. My question is: how can one write DSSSL functions for such properties? How can a library of such DSSSL functions be included so that when the node-property function is run these new properties are properly processed?
