   Yep, you should be able to just drop in those declarations at an
appropriate location in your DTD.  And actually, you'd probably be
best off to just replace *every* dash with &dash;, unless it's being
used as a hyphen.

   Agreed.  When you've got several pieces of software all trying to
do very complex things (such as trying to be real smart about things
like character sets and such), there are bound to be pitfalls all over
the place. :P
