That's not what the spec says: "(element-number snl) Returns the number of elements before or equal to snl with the same gi as snl." Note the "same gi as". Returns the same value as child-number. I agree that you might expect element-number to return what I need, but the spec doesn't say that and Jade doesn't do it. Cheers, E.
