title format

Problem: How to get both a left aligned literal and 
a centred heading in one entity.
Requirement:

To have an indicator (as shown below) which is left
justified, together with the title of a section, which is
centred on the page

E.g.

++			title


Any suggestions please, 

(element (article title)
	(make sequence
	 (literal "++")
	(make paragraph
	use: para-style
	quadding: 'center)))

Nearly does what I want, but with the line seperator
(presumably from the paragraph) between the two.
