jade on aix 4.1

Has anyone worked through compiling jade 1.2.1 on AIX 4.1 (g++ 2.7.2)?
The problem we're having involves the Collector module in the style
library (libstyle.a). A symbol is not defined. Everything compiles fine
until the step creating jade.
