Isn't this an example of `layout-dependent text' that could be solved
with page-number ? Admittedly, jade doesn't implement page-number and friends,
but using a two-pass approach with sgml-parse should make it possible to
implement page-number as long as the backend supports writing an auxiliary
file which would then be parsed in the second jade run. I have successfully
done this for the TeX backend, but I don't have the macros at hand.
