/ Richard Folwell <richardf@xxxxxxxxxx> was heard to say: | is there one that will produce good results in both output formats? For | example GIF is fine with the HTML, but prints from Word in very poor | quality (I tested with one of the GIFs in the DocBook documentation). Hmm, the GIFs in the DocBook documentation may not be all that great, quality wise. You might want to try a GIF image of your own creation. I've found the quality acceptable, at least in the few cases where I've used GIFs for both. | An EPS image for the same diagram would not print (or view) at all from | Word. There are a few EPS issues. 1. You need to have the EPS graphic filer installed in Word. 2. If you want to see the image, or print to a non-EPS printer, you need EPS with an embedded TIFF preview image. This has about the same quality as a high-res GIF (AFAICT). 3. There's no way to do automatic scaling with the RTF backend, so if your EPS figures aren't just the right size, that's a problem. --norm DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
