Well, there's not much support for columns on a
simple-page-sequence, so I'm not sure there's much to do.  I'll
be happy to add parameters for the characteristics:

  page-n-columns 
  page-column-sep 
  page-balance-columns?

| Column 1 for callouts, highlights, warnings, admonitions, etc, and Column

Alas, what you get with Jade is a lot more basic than that:

   |   |   |
   |   |   |
   ---------

And the flow runs strictly from 1 to 2 without any user-control.
