Lambda: I lied

Everyone who replied to me was correct, and I was wrong.

I was giving a nonexistent ID to Jade to process, so it was never
actually calling my lambda procedure to see that it wasn't actually a
string.  I now get error messages, and will change all of my
parameters to functions, some of which are constant.
