DSSSL-Online is really a subset of the full DSSSL standard (not just the query language). It was intended to be a minimally usable subset of DSSSL that could be used for presenting SGML documents on a web browser. I think that you would need more than what is in DSSSL online to do SGML transformations. Fortunately, Jade implements much more than just DSSSL-Online. > Is that a subset of the query language that might have > everything I need? Jade implements a superset of the "core query language" defined by the DSSSL standard. This is really quite usable for most purposes. > If anyone could offer a suggestion about tools that might implement the > query language (or part of it), please let me know! > I think that right now, Jade (http://www.jclark.com/jade) is your best bet. Henry Thompson has implemented something called the DSSSL Syntax Checker (which is more than just a syntax checker) http://www.cogsci.ed.ac.uk/~ht/#DSSSL . Alex Milowski of Copernican Solutions, Inc. is working on a Java based DSSSL environment called Seng http://www.copsol.com -dan -- Daniel Speck e-mail: dspeck@xxxxxxxxxxxx Systems Engineer voice: +1 301.548.7818 Thomson Technology Services Group fax: +1 301.527.4094 1375 Piccard Drive, Rockville, MD 20850 WWW: www.thomtech.com DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
