Subject: ASCII Text output using Jade From: Dan Hable <DHable@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 11 Jun 1998 09:16:15 -0500 |
I'm trying to create an ASCII text file using a DSSSL stylesheet and Jade. So far, I'm using an old DSSSL stylesheet and the command line that I'm using is: jade -d digest.dsl -t sgml xml.dcl digest1.xml This will output the plain text without markup to my screen. The only problem is that I can't insert returns. All of the text is running together. I was thinking that I could use an escape sequence but Jade gave me an error when I inserted \n as a literal. What I would like to know is: 1) Am I approaching the problem at the right angle? Is there an eaiser way to get plain ASCII text from a stylesheet? 2) Could someone tell me if there is a command or escape sequence to force a line return? Thanks for the help. ~~ Dan DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
