help with entity-ref

Greetings,

I'm trying to process an entity for a break (line break) in a RTF header.
>From the archives I've gleaned that I need to use the syntax:

entity-ref NAME name of the entity

When I do this I get an error message from jade -- "reference to undefined
variable 'entity ref' "

Any suggestions/sample dsssl on how I might do this?
