Thank you all for the input. However, I seem to have more trouble than I thought. That's what I did in the meantime: I picked up the ImageMagick package and used it to convert some jpegs to ps and eps. They look fine in Ghostview, so I tried to get them in my document with <Graphic FileRef="somefile.eps" Format="EPS"></Graphic> Now the strange things happen. After processing the document (Jade, Jadetex, dvips) Ghostview shows the figure legend and a nearly empty page after that. This shows the page number, but the section in the headline is missing, so a white object seems to lurk on this page. I played around a little with different jpegs, sometimes converting them to smaller sizes, but the best I could get were some fancy-looking rectangles on the page, far from what the picture should show. And remember, all these eps files viewed directly with Ghostview (both NT and Linux) looked excellent. I use: Jade & Jadetex with Sebastian Rahtz' most recent patches, MiKTeX 1.10, Ghostview 5.10 on my NT box and gv 2.9.4 on my Linux box. Are there any tricks that I don't know? Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Markus _________________________ Dr. Markus Hoenicka DLR Inst.
