Subject: Docbook/style sheet bug & tex backend bug From: "Glenn R. Kronschnabl" <grk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 26 Aug 1998 16:42:20 -0500 |
I am using the docbook style sheets (v1.11) and I am experiencing a problem with a table. Bug 1. It appears that if a table entry uses MOREROWS, that the output is just a bit wrong (under netscape 4.05). >From what I can tell, when the HTML table is output and ROWSPAN is non-zero, than for the next row, the column entry should skip over the respective TD's (i.e., don't output even blank cells). As always, its best to look at the example. The example table is given in: http://www.arlut.utexas/~grk/sgml/t1.sgml The (incorrect) output that jade111 generates is in: ./t1.htm The right output is in: ./t1_fixed.htm Is this a dsssl bug or a netscape bug? Bug 2. Ditto mostly of above except now I am using the tex backend. I am using the latest and greatest jadetex stuff. When using the tex backend, just the opposite problem exists. It appears that empty cells should be output (morerows) but they are not appearing in the output tex file. It does think its in the right column (columnIndex=3) The incorrect output that jade111 +latest tex patches is in: t1.tex The corrected jadetex input file is in: t1_fixed.tex (I also put the .ps files there). I looked at the fot file and it appears that the fot output is correct, i.e., empty cells are output. It would appear that the tex backend is ignoring the empty cells? If someone can verify, I guess I should send this to sebastian? Again - THANKS for a great product! Cheers, Glenn -------------------- Glenn R.
