Hi Karl, I guess you use Emacs too :-) So keep it that way. You are probably not a novice and then there is no problems for you format created with your editor. However, if we want to increase the DSSSL audience, it may help if we show them script format convention that could help them make the transition from block based languages like c,c++, java, etc... to dsssl. So, Karl, I don't know where do you see that I am making more harm when I try to help new people to learn and understand this language. I hope that you'll have enough cleverness to understand this. And by the way, I do not think that people are stupid, only that sometimes some of them are a bit too narrow minded :-) regards Didier PH Martin mailto:martind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.netfolder.com -----Original Message----- From: owner-dssslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-dssslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Karl Eichwalder Sent: Saturday, May 01, 1999 4:23 PM To: dssslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: About the article "Didier PH Martin" <martind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> writes: | Simply that because of the way we write dsssl scripts, people new to | this language find it hard to find their way with all the )))). As Adam said: Use a decent editor (Emacs, e.g.)! You're doing more harm than good with your "style rules". And please, never think people are to stupid to learn useful things. -- Karl Eichwalder DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
