Hi Adam, The code is quite modular in C++ (i.e. classes) but do not interface well with things not written in C++. Also, the scheme engine is coupled with the grove (I think that we can make the grove more autonomous and probably be able to accept based grove module with interfaces in either CORBA or DCOM. regards Didier PH Martin mailto:martind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.netfolder.com -----Original Message----- From: owner-dssslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-dssslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Adam Di Carlo Sent: Monday, August 16, 1999 3:07 AM To: dssslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: thinking about OpenJade speed OpenJade has embedded within it a Scheme engine -- I wonder if significant borrowing can be made there in order to increase the speed of it. On quick preusal, the stuff in style/SchemeParser.cxx seems pretty specialized, but I wonder if it could be done, leading to a pretty quick-n-easy way to speed up Jade significantly... -- .....Adam Di Carlo....adam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<URL:http://www.onShore.com/> DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
