Ok.  I think you were right.  Thank you.  This string appears to take up
most of the log file:

\@lduseb@x #1->\@lduseb@x {#1}\set@color 
#1<-\dssslbox 

Hmmm..... Can anyone give me a clue how this got started?  How it should be
fixed?  Who is to blame?  It isn't jade because equivalent RTF output is
fine.
