well that's a non terminating loop, as the replacement code for
\@lduseb@x starts with itself. So definitely a bigger tex won't help,
it'll just take longer to die on you.

which probably means I've spent too long over on xsl-list and not kept
jadetex up to date, in any event I don't see \@lduseb@x here so I can't
help much as I haven't got time to download and build a new setup today.
