Source and binary incompatibility of jade?

Hi,

I have the 1.2.1 binary version of Jade for windows. I needed to look at the
src code (1.2.1) so I downloaded that too and when i compiled it using VC
6.0 , the file sizes of all the exe's and dlls were different from the
binary download. And sure enough the MIF backend doesnt produce any o/p
whereas the rtf does with the compiled version.
