Subject: A few niggles From: G.B.Stott@xxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Mon, 17 Apr 2000 18:13:20 +0100 |
Hi there, I am using DSSSL/DocBook/jadetex on a Linux system and there are some things which may be particular to me or which may be common problems. I'd like to know if folk have met them before or not. 1. When using 2 column text, the last page always comes out with columns balanced even though I have the following belt-and-braces pair active. (define %page-balance-columns?% #f) (define page-balance-columns? #f) 2. Regularly (I am tempted to say, `Always' but I'm not certain) I get a blank page at the end of a document. 3. The page number on the first page of a document is lower than on all succeeding pages. When I get an extra blank page, there is no page number at all. Below is a very short example which exhibits the first two problems; there's not enough pages for the third. I'm open to suggestions as to how to proceed and what is suitable information to include in examples. --------------------------------------------- <!DOCTYPE article PUBLIC "-//G.B.Stott//DTD Extension 1.0 to DocBook 3.1//EN"> <article role = "Bible Study"> <artheader> <title>Bible Study 5</title> </artheader> <simpara> Heb. 3:7-4:13. --------------------------------------------- Barrie.
