(dsssl) Section autolabel

Hello!
I have been trying to deal with the problem of automatic labeling of the 
sections in Docbook. Is there a way to make it not 1.1 or 1.1.1 but something 
else - like A B C ... or just 1. 2. 3.? I can not use the "label" attribute of 
the section because the whole point of labelling is to make it automated.
I will really appreciate any advice on this.
