Subject: (dsssl) no raw text output from openjade? From: "Markus Hoenicka" <hoenicka_markus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 17:54:47 -0500 |
[this was also sent to openjade-devel. Sorry if you read this twice] I've been using Jade and Openjade for quite a while, but only lately I found out that Openjade apparently closed a "hole" in Jade that I found convenient to misuse. With Jade's SGML backend, simple stylesheets using no top-level flow objects like simple-page or scroll would conveniently output any plain text that you generate with (literal). This is a simple way to implement transformations from SGML or XML to e.g. tagged file formats. As an example, a minimal dataset in the RIS or MEDLINE bibliography formats look like this: TY - BOOK AU - Doe,J. TI - Obfuscations PY - 1999 ER - This output can be generated from a DocBook biblioentry element with a DSSSL stylesheet using Jade. I assume this hole was closed on purpose. Is there any switch or other trick to get back Jade's behaviour in Openjade? Would there be any other tricks to accomplish the same type of transformation with Openjade?
