[jats-list] Taglib example of empty <xref>?

In some/most circumstances, it can make for easier authoring of a
cross-reference to a figure/footnote/citation if you just have to get the
ID right and you don't have to put in the right number and/or other text
and/or markup as the content of the <xref> element, and, for example, the
core JATS preview stylesheets are able to generate a label for an empty
<xref>.

Would it be useful for the Article Authoring Tag Library to show an
example of an empty <xref> as well as example(s) of <xref> with content?

Also, there's a bit too much escaping going on in the current <xref>
examples.

----
See <xref alt="figure 4">Fig IV.</xref>
----

should, presumably, show as:

----
See <xref alt="figure 4">Fig IV.</xref>
----

(though you could get by with " ").

and in the two cross-references in Example 2, "ꀒ" presumably
should also be " ".

(FWIW, ꀒ would produce YI SYLLABLE OP.)
