Thank you for your notes, Bruce!

Hi Soichi,

1.1 is completely backwards compatible with 0.4.

Two additional points:

* Some Ruby modifications were made in 1.1. Be sure to use 1.1
(final), not 1.1d1, because the Ruby implementation was different in
1.1d1 than the final (note that 1.1d1 was a public draft version, not
a voted final version)

* If you use Blue, 1.1 is a slighter greener shade than 0.4, i.e. it's
a bit looser with respect to what is valid markup. If J-STAGE has some
very specific markup requirements, it may be worth double-checking any
Schematron (or similar) validation scripts to make sure they catch
markup that is valid in 1.1, but not according to J-STAGE requirements.

Best regards,

Bruce

Everybody,

J-STAGE, the Japanese e-journal platform, is planning to upgrade
JATS from 0.4 to 1.1
Are there any compatibility issues which we should note?

Soichi
