I want to ensure my HTML generated from an XSL stylesheet contains a DOCTYPE
declaration.

Is the correct approach to use CDATA, as in the example below?

Should using a namespace like <html:html
xmlns:html='http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40'> generate a DOCTYPE
declaration?

Yours
Jon

<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-xsl";
	xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-xsl/FO";
		result-ns="html" indent-result="yes">
<xsl:template match='/'>
   <xsl:text></xsl:text>

My Doc

    <xsl:process-children/>

</xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>
