Hi

It seeems that several bugs are in the DTD or the document

a) I had to remove HTML stuff in the DTD to make it work
b) I got several illegal elements as stated below by the XML parser

dsssl:REC-xml-19980210.xml:102:9:E: document type does not allow element
"abstract" here
dsssl:REC-xml-19980210.xml:143:8:E: document type does not allow element
"pubstmt" here
dsssl:REC-xml-19980210.xml:147:11:E: document type does not allow element
"sourcedesc" here
dsssl:REC-xml-19980210.xml:150:10:E: document type does not allow element
"langusage" here
dsssl:REC-xml-19980210.xml:154:13:E: document type does not allow element
"revisiondesc" here

So it seems that nobody tested this document with a stylesheet engine. Maybe
its my style sheet engines that have problems. I used:

a) Microsoft 5b2 style engine for XSL
b) Talva DSSSL version 1.0 engine (base on James Clark engine) for DSSSL.

both style engines reported the same type of errors.

So I guess I have to stop my zele and the experiment to build a style sheet
on the xml documentation provided by W3 until, this document is debugged.
When that will be the case, it would be appreciated that W3 notify us, until
then, maybe tell the authors to validate their document or maybe something
is wrong with our XML parsers.

Do someone else is able to parse the xml spec document with an other XML
parser? If yes, I guess we will have to fix the bug we have in the parser
and Microsoft too.
