If you look at James Clarks latest XT parser he implements the document function which he states in his documentation will help with multiple documents. Check out: http://www.jclark.com/xml/xt.html the document function, which allows multiple input documents, is implemented; support for multiple output documents is provided by an extension element. I would be really interested in how this is implemented with examples! - Earl Earl Bingham B-Bop Associates Inc. 2 North First Street San Jose, CA 95113 Voice: (408) 993-2140 FAX: (408) 993-2141 XML SIG: http://www.sdforum.org/sigs/xml/index.html -----Original Message----- From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [SMTP:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Terris Sent: Monday, September 13, 1999 6:24 PM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Merging two documents Can I use XSLT to do this? I want to add part of an XML document to another XML document. Example: I want to merge documents 1 and 2. Document 1: <Book id="1"><Name>The wizard of OZ</Name></Book> <Book id="2"><Name>Java Servlet Programming</Name></Book> <Book id="3"><Name>John Coltrane Rage</Name></Book> Document 2: <BookList> <Book id="1"/> <Book id="2"/> </BookList> Target Document: <BookList> <Book id="1"><Name>The wizard of OZ</Name></Book> <Book id="2"><Name>Java Servlet Programming</Name></Book> </BookList> Seems like you need a nested look-up.
