Thanks everyone for catching my typo. You are all correct, the URL must contain forward slashes. Of course, I *had* tested the URL by copying it into the address field of IE-- but hadn't noticed that IE "fixes" the URL before resolving it. Duh. Well, at least it was a SHORT dumb question.
