Could you spell this out a little more?
It sounds clever, but I'm not sure :).
In particular, i'm not clear exactly what you are doing in
xslt, and what in java. i'm also not clear on what you are using
to control which templates apply (just select?), nor how you
are organizing the different pipelines into separate files,
if at all.

maybe an example would help.
