Coming from the digest I can't reference the 
thread, but I would like to register concern
re ECMAscript being a needed fuctionality in
any further rec from w3c.

I think the conclusion that this list supports
any scripting language as part of a future rec
is unsupported by the mail, being a response
to Didiers suggestion, from one person, 
which in itself was ambivalent.
