Subject: External Function Calls From Style Sheets From: Jack Frillman <jack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 12 Apr 2000 16:28:59 -0400 (EDT) |
I am looking for some examples of using XSLT style sheets that makes a call to an external function to perform part of its transformation. The only thing I have to go on so far is this incomplete snippit: <?xml version="1.0"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0"> <xsl:template match="doc"> <xsl:element name="doc"> <out><xsl:value-of select="java::GetInfo('string(@id)')"/></out> </xsl:element> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> What I am trying to determin is the proper syntax for the line: <out><xsl:value-of select="java::ValidateCite('string(@id)')"/></out> where the "select" is calling a external java or c++ method to perform a given task and return some results that will be put between the <out> tags.
