Carlos, Isn't it rather the XML parser which is processing a DOCTYPE ? There have been an inserting debate about this subject on XML-DEV (http://egroups.com/message/xml-dev/19367). If you can read French (or find a good translator), I have documented this issue on <XML>fr (http://xmlfr.org/actualites/tech/000403-0001.xml). Hope this helps.
