hi, There is nothing wrong with Saxon. Saxon does not support the old namespace as it shouldn't. I would suggest to Andrew to stop using XMLWriter and start using something which supports the new namespace (the new namespace is the W3C recommendation for XSLT). There is an XML editor which supports XML, DTDs, Schemas, and XSL which can be found at: http://new.xmlspy.com/default.html. I've found it to be useful.
