I think what you are asking is that you want to copy a nodeset to the output
tree in its entirety. For this you have to use <xsl:copy-of select=XPath>
which does a deep copy of the selected nodeset.

For example:

<xsl:template match="x">
	<xsl:copy-of select="."/>
</xsl:template>
