Subject: can't use xsl:variable or xsl:sort From: Lewis <lewis@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 03 Oct 2000 09:35:51 -0400 |
I'm using IE5.5. I'm trying to run this xsl: <?xml version="1.0"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-xsl" version="1.0"> <xsl:template match="/"> <xsl:for-each select="ndsOptionsMenu"> <xsl:for-each select="option"> <xsl:variable name="thisVal" select="text"/> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> This isn't all I want to do but it shows my problem. When I run this I get: Keyword xsl:variable may not be used here. The same thing happens with xsl:sort. Does anyone know why this is? Thanks. Oh, just in case here is my XML: <?xml version="1.0"?> <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="ndsoptionsmenutest.xsl"?> <ndsOptionsMenu> <title>XML/XSL Demo (Options)</title> <option> <text>Use Customer?</text> <value>Y</value> </option> <option> <text>Use Sales Rep?</text> <value>Y</value> </option> </ndsOptionsMenu> -- Lewis Cunningham NDS Systems Tel : 727-538-2250 Mail: lewis@xxxxxxxxxxx Web : www.ndsapps.com XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
