Subject: ANN: The new release of Unicorn XSLT Processor, Professional Edition From: Alexey Gokhberg <alexei@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 08 Oct 2000 23:39:22 +0200 |
Dear colleagues The new release of Unicorn XSLT Processor, Professional Edition version 1.02.16 is available. The product design is focused on achieving the interoperability between XSLT and other information processing technologies, in order to dramatically extend the scope of applications which can be efficiently addressed using the XSLT approach. The new release supports Microsoft ActiveX automation technology. This feature was introduced in order to achieve interoperability with numerous existing applications which implement ActiveX automation interfaces. Now applications that support automation may be controlled by XSLT stylesheets. In particular, XSLT technology can be used to provide data interchange between XML processors and ActiveX-enabled applications. Furthermore, the ActiveX plug-ins that implement custom XSLT extensions can be developed. The innovative object-based XSLT extension technology is employed to support integration between XSLT and ActiveX components. The specification for this technology was significantly updated; the new edition is now available at http://www.unicorn-enterprises.com/xslobj.htm The software is free (see the license included in the distribution) and can be obtained at http://www.unicorn-enterprises.com/uxtpro_1_02_16.zip It runs on Windows NT 4.0.
