re: sorting shares

I have a list of shares with various elements of date,
time, gain & loss, and I need to sort them in
alphabetical order. I have tried the <xsl:for-each>
<xsl:sort select=""> functions on the name of the
share but nothing seems to sort. I have also tried it
with the...order-by="name of the share"> function but
xml spy doesn't recognise this. Could you help please?
