Rather than looking at it as an alternative to jsp (or php, or asp, or any other server side process), xslt should be seen as separate and complementary. The idea of xslt on the web is to separate the display from the data and processing. I am working on several pages that use asp to combine, parse, rearrange, and populate xml, and then use xslt to transform the resulting xml into something displayed on the browser. We can have one developer working on the data end, and another working on the presentation, and as long as the resulting xml from the developer is consistant, the programmer doing the xslt pages can format it however he wants. Do you expect it to be around for a while? Is there a debugger for it? What are it's advantages as compared to Java Server pages? Our company has just started using it, but would like to make an informed decision whether to continue using it or to use Java server pages.
