Our apologies if you receive this more than once. =============================================================================== Call for Papers 1st WORKSHOP ON ENGINEERING OF E-BUSSINESS APPLICATIONS Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Cambridge, MA, USA June 20-22, 2001. at the IEEE 10th Intl. Workshops on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises Workshop URL: http://wwwagr.informatik.uni-kl.de/~koetting/WETICE2001/index.htm Conference URL: http://www.ida.liu.se/conferences/WETICE/WETICE2001/index.html] Deadline for paper submission February 26, 2001 ================================================================================ Call for Papers and Workshop Description ---------------------------------------- Development of e-business applications deals with well known problems of software engineering, although there were tremendous improvements in software engineering over the last decades. Software development is expensive and time consuming; software projects often run out of time and over budget, also when developing e-business applications. It also brings up new problems for this particular area of engineering: the knowledge and skills required in a large e-business application development project often cannot be found in one location, necessitating the global distribution and leading to the creation of virtual corporations. In particular, topics for paper submissions include (but are not limited to): methods (product or process oriented) that support the development of E-Business applications techniques that support the development of E-Business applications tools that support the development of E-Business applications Testing of E-Business applications E-Business frameworks and design patterns E-Business case studies (from a technology perspective) Processes and best practice for the engineering of e-Business applications Extreme programming for E-Business applications Business-To-Business (B2B) Applications Business-To-Consumer (B2C) Applications Virtual enterprises Distributed software development support Software agents for support of engineering e-business applications distributed modeling of e-business applications Internet-based engineering support multimedia support for project coordination middleware for software development environments groupware approaches to support e-business engineering knowledge management and access in development of e-business Submission ---------- Please send your submissions to Fawsy Bendeck email: bendeck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Papers can be submitted for review in HTML, PDF, PostScript, or Word format. Papers of more than 8 pages (single-spaced, 10-pt Times) will not be reviewed. Final papers may not exceed 6 pages in IEEE format [http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm], which is single-spaced, 10-pt Times. Authors will be requested to take part in the peer review process and will be asked to review other submissions.
