Subject: [xsl] MSXML3 CAB File Redistributable From: Joshua Allen <joshuaa@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 2 Feb 2001 09:27:08 -0800 |
(imagine that; the list serv knows how to block HTML ;->) -----Original Message----- From: Joshua Allen Sent: Thursday, February 01, 2001 9:35 PM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: MSXML3 CAB File Redistributable Finally a code-signed CAB is available that will update a user's machine to MSXML3 without requiring them to manually download or install. http://msdn.microsoft.com/code/sample.asp?url=/msdn-files/027/001/547/msdnco mpositedoc.xml shows how. I'll be updating the FAQ with a detect/install script later, once I have a chance to play with it. I am pretty sure that it does not do "replace" mode, though. At least it makes it much easier to count on being able to do XMLHTTPRequest from script, which seems to be a feature that Mozilla has now implemented as well (http://www.xmlrpc.com/discuss/msgReader$1224?mode=day) XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
