yes, I guess you can use <xsl:text> </xsl:text> whenever you need space. Try this, see if it works. -John -----Original Message----- From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Java XML Sent: Monday, April 09, 2001 1:17 PM To: XSL-List@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [xsl] inserting space in xsl:value-of Hello Folks, I have a small problem in here i have an xml which goes like this <?xml version="1.0" ?> <name> <text>welcome</text> <text>to</text> <text>amazon.com</text> </name> now i want to display the text in a text field using this <xsl:for-each select="TEXT"> <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(.)" /> </xsl:for-each> but i get a string which looks like this without spaces "welcometoamazon.com" is there a way to insert spaces between 2 text tags so that i get a display like this "welcome to amazon.com" i tried this way <xsl:for-each select="TEXT"> <xsl:value-of select="." /> </xsl:for-each> but got the value this way "welcome" "to" "amazon.com" where as i want it in a single line.
