It's his browser and/or client environment that's "wrong", so this isn't an XSLT question anyway. Carlos, if the original reference to the FAQ wasn't enough, try looking at http://www.hclrss.demon.co.uk/unicode/ Even if you aren't trying for Unicode output, this will explain why your numeric character references aren't being properly handled.
