I hope I can answer your question accurately :) Our clients (buyers on the exchange and suppliers on the exchange) basically want to do as little work as possible. Some are (or will be) using OAG or EDI or custom flat files. The Commerce One exchange uses xCBL. Our groups job is to get their data from their format (what ever it is) to xCBL so we can send it to our market place. We're even finding out that implementations of Oracle's ERP will not follow OAG standards, not to mention any customizations done on site. So we have a lot of custom items to consider. Did that help answer your question ??? Let me know if it didn't Thanks again - Allen -----Original Message----- From: Richard Draucker [mailto:richard@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2001 1:03 PM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [xsl] xslt and edi question I thought the whole value in XML for EDI was the deployment of a schema/dtd to which each client would adhere. Are you saying the clients expect you to do the translation from their inhouse format to your XML schema/dtd for them? Just curious.
