Target your transform to IE/HTML, use IE to print to a Postscript file, and use Adobe Distiller? Ah, I guess pagination will be a problem.

It sounds like a tall order to expect your FO rendering to be *exactly* the same as what IE looks like. Especially FOP, which doesn't pretend to be mature or fully-featured (nice tool though).

CSS formatted. I am trying to generate a PDF from this XML document. The PDF will have Table of contents etc so I cannot really breakdown the XML.
Though it was painful to translate the html/css tags I did most of the stuff. I am
using FOP 0.19 for generating the PDF.
But still I haven't arrived at the perfect solution where the input elements
should look exactly the same in the output PDF.


I would appreciate if any one can suggest an alternative solution ?
