Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you use the xsl:attribute to do this? <a> <xsl:attribute name="href"> <xsl:value-of select="SiteURL"/> </xsl:attribute> </a> I hope that is it. That is how I have done it in the past. There might be a more convenient way to do it though..not sure. > -----Original Message----- > From: Scott Hofmann [mailto:hofmanns@xxxxxxx] > Sent: Thursday, October 18, 2001 1:11 PM > To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [xsl] value for href > > > I put the below line of code into an .XSL file and it complains that > the value of attribute "href" must not contain the '<' character. > > <td bgcolor="lightsteelblue"><b>URL</b>: <a href="<xsl:value-of > select='SiteURL'/>"><xsl:value-of select='SiteURL'/></a></td> > > So how could i format this line so the value for <xsl:value-of > select='SiteURL '/> gets inserted into the <a href> area? > > Scott > -- > > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
