If you hadn't run off so fast after that remark, some of us might have taken issue with it. If "direct browsing of xml" means anything at all, it ought to mean either displaying the xml as-is in the client, as Oleg has indicated, or styling that xml by css. There's nothing "direct" about transforming the xml to html before rendering, no matter if that transform is done server or client side.
