Put something like

  <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="@id &gt; 4">
      do something..
    </xsl:when>
    <xsl:otherwise>
      do something else
    </xsl:otherwise>
  </xsl:choose>

in your loop.  Will that do what you're looking for?
