Make sure that the output encoding of your XSLT result, and the encoding expected by your display software (e.g. editor/browser) are the same. Michael Kay Software AG home: Michael.H.Kay@xxxxxxxxxxxx work: Michael.Kay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx I have ran tests on NT and unix with the same components. When I display the output from unix in IE5 the euro symbol is ?, the nt xml file displays the euro symbol properly in IE5. I don't know how I should go about fixing this given, the charcater encodding must match between output and display software? Thanks Julie. > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of > julie.f.mccabe@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: 21 March 2002 12:06 > To: XSL-List@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [xsl] euro symbol problem on unix > > > Hello > > Problem > > Xml file created using DOM (xerces 1.4.1) displays the euro > sign correctly, > after an xslt to xml using jdk1.3.0.2 the euro symbol is > displayed as ?. > When I run the same test on a PC the euro symbol is displayed in both > cases. > > There is a patch which should be applied on unix to display the euro > symbol, this has been installed.
