Thanks for your reply, Mr. Pietschmann! I finally succeeded in showing a text data from URL in a pdf file! As you mentioned, I used the ENTITY command in DTD file and specified the entity name in xml file. My work is as follows: In xml file, <?xml version="1.0" encoding='Shift_JIS'?> … <url>&urltext;</url> … In xsl file, <xsl:template match="url"> <fo:block <xsl:apply-templates /> </fo:block> </xsl:template> and in dtd file, <!ENTITY urltext SYSTEM "URL"> I really appreciate for your help!
